**Job Overview**:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Human Resources Assistant. As a Human Resources Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the HR department with various administrative tasks and projects. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain experience in the field of HR.

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide administrative support to the HR department, including data entry, filing, and maintaining employee records
- Assist with the recruitment process by posting job ads, scheduling interviews, and conducting initial screenings
- Coordinate employee onboarding and offboarding processes, including preparing new hire paperwork and conducting exit interviews
- Assist with training and development initiatives by scheduling training sessions, tracking attendance, and maintaining training records
- Maintain confidentiality of employee information and ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations

**Job Requirements**

Meet eligibility criteria established by the Canada Summer Jobs Program;
- Be between 15 and 30 years of age at the beginning of the employment period
- Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to who refugee protection has been conferred under _the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act_ for the duration of the employment; and;
- Have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with the relevant provincial legislation and regulation

**Position Responsibilities**
- Perform a wide variety of administrative tasks.
- Support with the creation of job postings, resume screening and interviewing
- Coordinate scheduling of interviews.
- Conduct phone screenings for interviews.
- Organize orientation for new employees
- This position will provide coverage for reception

**Additional Qualifications**
- Currently enrolled in or a graduate of a Post Secondary Human Resource program
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, Word

- Proficient organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Ability to solve problems.
