**What can I expect to do in this role?**: In this role, you will:

- provide analytical and logístical support to the Human Dimensions of Conservation and Ecosystem Management research program
- assist, coordinate and oversee research that addresses key ministry priorities
- lead projects, support policy development, and communicate progress of the program to internal and external clients and stakeholders
- assist in development of research/contract proposals and oversee delivery of service contracts
- deliver public presentations and participate in science forums and working groups/committees

**Technical knowledge and skills**:

- You have knowledge of the human dimensions of resource management including forestry, fire and/or fish and wildlife management, and social-ecological systems.
- You have experience with analysis and interpretation of data in support of policy development and operational needs.
- You have demonstrated experience in laboratory and field procedures, experimental design, and surveying for human dimensions research.

- You have well developed interpersonal skills to respond to inquiries from clients/partners (e.g. collaborators, contractors, consultants, staff and forest industry).
- You can communicate effectively to provide clear instructions in the use of survey methods, computer software as well as sophisticated field and laboratory equipment (e.g., field mapping systems and surveying instruments, digital cameras, drones, test instruments, and electronic devices and software).
