**WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR**
We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Human Resources Co-op Student to join our HR team (Supply Chain Management). As a Human Resources Co-op Student, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various aspects of HR, supporting our HR team in executing essential functions related to employee relations, HRIS Software Management and HR administration. This co-op placement will provide valuable insight into the field of HR and contribute to your professional growth.
This is an** 8 months co-op term**, based out of our** Etobicoke **office.
**WHAT YOU’D BE DOING IN THIS ROLE**
- Collaborate with the HR Manager to address employee inquiries and concerns
- Advise and coach employees on their inquiries, challenges and opportunities in a timely manner, and facilitate with managing employment changes in Ceridian - Dayforce (HRIS software)
- Provide accurate and up-to-date records of all HR communications and employee information
- Administer and support in the documentation of employee relations matters and coaching for accountability steps
- Onboard/reboard and conduct HR Orientations for all new team members
- Assist in conducting exit interviews and analyzing feedback for continuous improvement
- Support other HR team members when necessary
- Participate and support HR and People Pillar initiatives
**SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED TO GET THE JOB DONE**
- Currently enrolled or graduated with a post-secondary diploma or degree in Human Resources Management or Business Administration
- Basic knowledge of Employment Standards Act, Occupational Health and Safety Act, and other employment/labour laws
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and integrity of HR related matters
- Proficient computer skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Docs and Sheets
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
