**Position Title: Southside Turnaround / Projects Support OAL (Operations Area Lead)**

**Team and Location: PRBC Refinery - Burnaby, BC**

**Minimum Starting Salary from: $**118,800 / year**

**Position Summary**:

- The primary focus of this position is to ensure the timely completion of high-quality operations deliverables for Turnarounds and LROP Pitstops in the South Side Units.
- The Southside A2 Operations Turnaround / Project Support OAL will support and provide direction to the Turnaround Team and Assignment Operators in delivering the Turnaround Operating Plan. This support will include technical, operating, scheduling & optimization advice.
- The Turnaround / Project Support OAL will work with console OALs and the Operations Coordinator to complete turnaround deliverables and ensure accurate scheduling and tracking of Shutdown/Cleaning/Startup (SCS) activities and Oils Plan activities.
- The Turnaround / Project Support OAL will contribute Operations components of Project deliverables. Actively represent Operations drivers and issues in the development of all assigned project phases. This position will support all type of projects throughout the refinery with the focus on Sustain Projects and work together with Strategic Project OAL to integrate the TGTU, NPSWS and FCC Co-processing Expansion Projects into TA execution.
- The Turnaround OAL will work with the Operation TA/ Capital Project Manager to ensure timely review of all the technical details pertaining to new capital projects to be executed within planned Turnaround windows and LROP Pitstops and provide operations input for Hazops, MOCs, Operations Standards Revisions, New Operating Procedures, etc.
- Member of the Turnaround Core team and active participant in all core team activities.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Delivery of assigned Operations Turnaround deliverables per milestone schedule working in conjunction with Operation TA/ Capital Project Manager, U-Crew Supervisor, Assignment Operators and Turnaround Core Team during planned Turnarounds and LROP Pitstops (Operating Procedures Revisions, SCS Plan, Oils Plan, Lessons Learned Review and Entries, Turnaround & Pitstop Related Updates, etc.)
- Provide Relief Coverage for the U Crew Supervisor or Shift Supervisor
- Preparation of the A2 Operations Turnaround Budgets

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- Demonstrated commitment to IIF and Safe Operations.
- Ability to work on own initiative to develop and implement innovative solutions to business problems.
- Minimum of 5 years of process plant experience gained in more than one job discipline.
- Detailed process unit knowledge would be an advantage.
- Knowledge and experience in Refinery Operations ideally South Side (FCC, SRU, Alky and Poly) Operations.
- Strong mentoring and motivational skills.
- Good interpersonal and communications skills.
- Organizational and prioritization skills demonstrated ability to multi-task and manage workload independently.
- Knowledgeable on equipment LOTO/CSED Procedures.
- Working knowledge of spreadsheets software such as MS-Excel and scheduling software such as Primavera P6.
