The Opportunity

Reporting to the Accounts Payable & Receivable Manager, the Accounts Payable (AP) Supervisor will be leading the AP team, ensuring prompt processing, evaluation and reporting of expenditures for payment. This position requires a highly detail-oriented person with strong Excel skills and the ability to work in a very fast-paced environment. This role will take on the day-to-day lead of payables duties along with payment processing for vendors.

**In this role you will**:

- Reconcile accounts payable transactions and monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date and resolve discrepancies.
- Reconcile subledgers for AP & Goods received not yet invoiced monthly with explanations on aged items.
- Manual GR clearing from General Ledger - as required.
- Handle complicated vendor relationships and reconciliations.
- Drive process with key stakeholders to escalate supplier credit hold situations.
- Prepare and process electronic payments.
- Correspond with vendors and respond to inquiries.
- Produce monthly reports and maintain vendor files.
- Sort, match, code and enter invoices into ERP system, or invoice matching system (multi-currency/multi-entity) - as required.
- Liaison audit requirements associated to payables.
- Back-up to Administrator for employee setup, password reset, extend vendors in Kefron - as required.
- Back-up to Administrator for Corporate Credit Cards - password reset, credit limit adjustment, setting up a new account and/or deleting an account - as required.
- ACH direct withdrawals daily for approvals by 2 signing authorities.

**What you need**:

- 5+ years of experience handling a high volume of supplier transactions.
- Post-Secondary education in accounting, finance, business administration or equivalent experience
- High degree of initiative, self-motivation, and resourcefulness
- Ability to organize and prioritize workload and meet deadlines.
- Attention to detail and keen ability to maintain a high level of accuracy.
- Strong knowledge of MS Office and experience with ERP systems
- Excellent communication, organizational and teamwork skills
