**About Our Opportunity**:
As a full-time Member of the Board, you must have the ability to chair and/or participate as a panel member in quasi-judicial public hearings, often involving sensitive and controversial matters, ensuring that fairness, good judgment, and independent decision-making is applied. You are a professional with senior leadership experience, demonstrated commitment to diversity and employment equity, excellent decision-making skills, and excellent verbal and writing skills. You must be in good standing with your professional association. This position is in Halifax and will require travel throughout the province.

As set out in the _Energy and Regulatory Boards Act_, a member of the Energy Board may be appointed by the Chair to sit as a member of the Regulatory and Appeals Board on a matter-by-matter basis when the Chair considers appropriate.

The appointment process will be transparent, and merit based. Information on the appointment process is contained in the _Guidelines to Ensure Appointments Based on Merit_.

**Salary Information**:
**Salary Range**: $172,273 - $215,342 approximate annual salary. In addition, the Board offers a comprehensive benefits package. Please Note: the salary range contemplates the appointment of individuals with considerable experience and skills and in all but exceptional cases, new board members would be appointed at the starting rate of the salary range and would typically progress to the higher end of the range through their term.
