We have an exciting career opportunity for a New Product Development Purchasing Team Leader within our BRP Technology Global Vehicle Supply organization.

This is a unique opportunity to tap into your passion, collaborate with key stakeholders and have a major influence in ensuring that all new product development projects receive the right parts, on time, at cost and of the right quality throughout all the stages of our new product development process.

You will have the opportunity to develop your skills in a fast-paced, complex product development environment while playing a key role in overseeing the required procurement activities and managing your supplier relationships through business reviews and trade negotiations.

**YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE TO**:
**As a Team Leader, your primary responsibilities will be to**:
Lead and develop a team of buyers in specific commodities.

Be the first point of contact for buyers with respect to SAP and other issues, as well as mentor new employees.

Build and maintain lists of Other Direct Costs (ODC), cost optimization programs and tooling acknowledgement tracking with the team.

Ensure that all projects receive the correct parts on time for P3 (and P1 when production tooling is used) and PPAP activities in accordance with the product strategy, based on the release of engineering drawings and appropriate hand-off to the production support team.

Manage collaboration between the product development buyer and the project office, engineering and DTQC team to meet the project schedule, provide project status updates and achieve cost targets.

Ensure supplier capacity is sufficient for our product development business plan.

Play a guiding role within the team with respect to process standardization, continuous improvement and KPI tracking.

THIS ROLE IS A GOOD FIT IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:
A strong foundation in and knowledge of procurement development processes and program management tools (NPD) from start to finish.

Advanced leadership and interpersonal skills; a team player with a strong sense of partnership and determination who can act as both a leader and individual contributor as needed.

At least 3 to 5 years of experience in procurement and the introduction of new manufacturing products/project management of raw material purchasing.

A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering or equivalent.

French and English is essential, both written and spoken. Fluency in Spanish would be an asset.
