Team Lead, Process Improvement

As a member of the Finance team, your main mandate will be to act as a team leader in process improvement within the North American Shared Services Centre, which encompasses accounts payable, accounts receivable, intercompany transaction balancing, cash management and sales tax remittances for our teams in Canada, the United States and Mexico.

Reporting to the department manager, the team leader will act as a leader and change agent in the transformation currently taking place in the finance group.


Additionally, you will be responsible for:

Supervising a team normally made up of 4 continuous improvement team members, with additional members added on a temporary basis depending on the project.


Identifying functional requirements by analyzing current processes and consulting all parties involved in the Finance department as well as other departments affected by the processes concerned.

Carrying out audits to assess the performance of various processes within the Shared Services Centre.

Diagnosing and identifying opportunities for harmonization and optimization.

Developing process modelling and designing an action plan to improve or optimize processes.

Ensuring the implementation of improvement measures and assisting teams and management.

Setting up KPIs to assess the effectiveness of improvements and measures implemented, and monitoring the results achieved.

Planning and managing change management.


Establishing a mechanism for monitoring best practices in relation to Shared Services Centre processes, in order to keep abreast of new developments and make recommendations.


Leading the implementation of a new automation tool for the invoice entry process, at both the operational and change management levels.

Coordinating projects initiated by the company's transformation programme that affect Shared Services Centre teams.

THIS ROLE IS A GOOD FIT IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:
A bachelor's degree in Business Administration; a focus on Accounting or Finance would be an asset.

An accounting designation (CA, CMA, CGA) would be an asset.

Bilingual in French and English.

A minimum of three to five (3 to 5) years of relevant experience.

Strong communication, interpersonal and change management skills.

Mobilizing leadership and team spirit.

Autonomy and initiative.

Organization, planning and priority management skills.

The ability to analyze and summarize, good risk management skills.
