Job Summary
To provide administrative and operational support. This position will assist the Principle Investigator (PI) in curriculum development.
Organizational Status
The administrative support assistant reports to the Principle Investigator (PI) and interacts with graduate students and other research assistants on the team.
Work Performed
- Sends out student surveys to faculty and prompts faculty for responses
- Works closely with PI on updating student assignments
Working with guidance from the PI, co-creates student class activities and documents iterations.
- Works closely with PI to create a Canvas course page
With PI guidance, creates Canvas course pages and populates the Canvas page with the assignment documents, submission drop boxes, etc. as directed.
- Collects and compiles data for reports
Data will be gathered for educational research purposes. This will primarily consist of distributing student surveys, and synthesizing the results of these surveys under the direction of the PI. The surveys will determine how students’ ability to achieve learning outcomes are impacted by changed curriculum and teaching methods. Brief privacy law and research ethics trainings will be necessary to do this work.

This position is expected to perform professionally and make proper and sound decisions by exercising judgment based on established procedures. Close attention to detail, appreciation for accuracy and professionalism, and the ability to meet deadlines are essential.

Minimum Qualifications
High School graduation, plus one year of related training, plus two years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Ability to gather, record, and organize information. Ability to effectively use MS Word, Outlook, and Excel. Ability to research information. Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and priorities. Ability to prioritize and organize work tasks. Ability to maintain accuracy and attention to detail.
