The Real Estate Council of Ontario (RECO) is seeking an Education Services Specialist. We have one (1) permanent position available to start immediately.

**The role**

This position serves as the escalation point for registrants and the public regarding the Registrar’s education programs, education exceptions, continuing education (CE) technical issues, and policy inquiries or issues. The Education Services Specialist provides individualized information and guidance to registrants and applicants while maintaining confidentiality. This role also provides services to both external and internal customers by determining requirements; accurately answering inquiries; and troubleshooting/resolving problems.

**Position responsibilities**

**Education Equivalency & Education Accommodations**:

- Provide ongoing guidance and updates relating to applicant (prospective, existing, pending and expired) files

**Client Services Escalation Point**:
**MCE Support**:

- Provide back-up support for the E-Learning Developer/LMS Administrator in resolving MCE performance issues
- Provide user testing for MCE courses prior to launch to identify functionality and reporting errors

**Administration**:

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date (hard-copy and electronic/RECOserv) records of EEA, EDA, and designate/s files for internal Education Department tracking.
- Process and submit departmental invoices and Education Advisory Committee (EAC) / SME per diem and expense reimbursement requests to the Accounting Department for processing.
- Act as secondary resource for administrative support to the Education Advisory Committee and other education-related meetings.
- Provide support to other RECO departments for validation of education records for Reg ED, MCE and outside courses taken to maintain registration status
- Other duties as assigned by the Education Administrative Coordinator, Education Manager, and/or Director of Education in the day-to-day activities of the Education Department

**Qualifications and experience**
- Three (3) to five (5) years in a customer service role
- Completion of Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) / Prior Learning Assessment Recognition (PLAR) training an asset
- Proficient using MS Office suite, and knowledge of Excel at an intermediate skill level
- Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail/accuracy
- Experienced/comfortable in dealing with the public, difficult people, and situations requiring exceptional sensitivity and compassion while maintaining a calm, courteous and professional demeanour at all times regardless of the individual(s) behaviour
- Able to demonstrate a high degree of confidentiality
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Administrative work experience in a regulatory environment an asset
- Experience working independently in fast-paced environments; able to balance competing priorities, and work under tight timelines
- Bilingual (French/English) an asset
