**What can I expect to do in this role?**: In this role you will:

- Review training providers and training programs including traveling inside Ontario for field assessments to support recommendations for Chief Prevention Officer approval or rejection.
- Contribute to the development and delivery of health and safety prevention learning/training and audit programs.
- Conduct research and independent analysis in support of curriculum development and offerings in the province.
- Provide assistance in the development of learning frameworks, audit standards and methods, and related initiatives.
- Attend various locations across the province to perform assessments of training providers and to meet with stakeholders.

**How do I qualify?**:
**Specialized Knowledge and Skills**:

- You have knowledge of and experience in adult education principles and practices.
- You can conduct independent needs analysis and provide advice on the development and delivery of prevention learning and training programs.
- You have knowledge of program development, methodologies including program design, development and evaluation.

**Occupational Health and Safety Expertise**:

- You have knowledge of health and safety issues within the context of health and safety prevention learning and training and understanding of occupational health and safety service delivery in Ontario.
- You understand related legislative and regulatory obligations (e.g., Occupational Health and Safety Act, the Workplace Safety and Insurance Act).
- You have knowledge of occupational health and safety system trends, models of delivery, and understanding of critical issues and concerns faced by stakeholders.

**Analytical and Research Skills**:

- You have analytical and strategic thinking skills to analyze program and stakeholder needs, provide specialized advice and recommendations.
- You have knowledge of research techniques and methodologies and ability to conduct research, analysis, and technical examination to evaluate quality of program delivery.
- You can plan and manage projects.

**Communication, Relationship Management, and Negotiation Skills**:

- You have oral and written communications, interpersonal, and consultation skills to provide specialized information and advisory services and prepare and deliver presentations, reports, briefing notes, discussion papers, recommendations, etc.
