CMLS Asset Management is looking for an Associate, Inside Sales to join our growing team.

CMLS Asset Management provides its investor clients with exposure to real estate debt, either through pooled vehicles, or direct sub-advisory relationships. Our flagship product is the CMLS Mortgage Fund with a 15-year track record and a strong return profile of 6-8%. Our vision is to be recognized as a trusted alternative asset manager.

As we grow our asset base, the primary objective of the national sales team is to support investment professionals as they endeavor to prepare their clients for retirement and other significant life goals that demand focused financial management.

The team works together to plan and execute a strategy that cultivates key relationships and effectively maximizes territory sales.

**About the Role**

As an integral member of the territory sales team, the Associate, Inside Sales will work in partnership with the Director, National Accounts and Investment Sales to ensure the effective and efficient implementation of the territory sales plan.

The Associate, Inside Sales will learn about the fundamentals of our business, who our clients are, what their needs are, and how CMLS can meet those needs.

**This includes**:

- Managing investor relations: answer questions from investment professionals, their assistants, and unitholders
- Demonstrating a keen focus on prospecting and maintaining the advisor base
- Providing ongoing sales and marketing support, sharing ideas and strategies designed to develop overall sales and client base
- Providing proactive support and services to all existing supporters, investors, and prospects, respond to all inquiries, and coordinate follow-up where required in a professional and timely manner
- Capturing engagements in CRM with detailed notes recording all interactions with existing clients and prospects required
- Maintaining accurate records of contacts in the region along with activity tracking of leads in the sales pipeline
- Participating in and contributing to regular team meetings and business planning sessions
- Coordinating and participating in corporate and social events with industry professionals

**This role is for you, if you have**:

- Completed a university degree
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in the financial services industry, at least 6 months of which must be in a client interaction role (face-to-face, over the phone, or online)
- Knowledge of the fund and/or real estate industry and an interest in asset management
- Completed, or are enrolled in, a financial services industry program (e.g., CSC, CFA, CFP, CIM, etc.)
- Self-confidence and a friendly and proactive personality, with energy, focus, and drive to achieve results
- A sales aptitude with a strong desire to make things happen
- Ability to build credibility and rapport with clients in person and over the phone
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to build on relationship and networking skills.
- Ability to organize and prioritize workload and competing demands
- Polished and professional personal presentation
- Highly motivated and eager to learn
- Ability to work in a team as well as independently in a fast-paced environment
- Passion for the financial markets and the desire to learn more about the investment industry
