As the Inventory & Stores Coordinator at our Spruceland remanufacturing facility in Acheson, you will be responsible to ship, track and receive products to ensure that parts are replenished at optimum stocking levels. You will liaise with the Maintenance Planner for requisition, and inventory requirements, relating to the planning and scheduling of maintenance activities. Your exceptional communication skills will allow you to connect with vendors and corporate buyers to ensure timely delivery of parts and timely payment of invoices.
**A Day in the Life of an Inventory Stores Coordinator**
- Manage Canfor’s own in-house “store” which includes inventory control, ordering, and stocking of parts.
- Communicate with vendors, corporate buyers, and accounts payable to ensure timely delivery of parts and timely payment of invoices.
- Coordinate stock availability using the Synergen system
- Continuously develop and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers to negotiate pricing and ensure timely delivery of parts.
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting the maintenance team with part inquiries and orders.
- Coordinate with the team to identify and source necessary parts for repairs.
- Always maintain the highest standards with respect to safety by leading by example and ensuring your team follows all Company policies, procedures Federal and Provincial tax laws, and custom and excise regulations.
- Responsible for inventory management including but not limited to purchasing, receiving, storing, and issuing of stores inventory and efficient utilization of the inventory.
- Liaise with the Maintenance team for requisitions, and inventory requirements relating to the planning and scheduling of maintenance activities.
- Other duties and tasks will be assigned, as required.
