**Position Overview**:
- **Major Responsibilities**:
- Provide general HR administration, support ensuring HR file system is maintained, and employee data is kept up to date in HRIS
- Support compensation and payroll processes and other data maintenance tasks.
- Maintain organizational charts, Head Count, HR forms & job descriptions.
- Support employee Orientation and other training programs for employees.
- Prepare employment letters, reference checks, benefits enrollment, employment verification, etc.
- Process all enrollments, employee information changes, termination and system updates as required
- Have knowledge of current legislation, including AODA, WHMIS & other legislated compliance
- Administration of HR programs and services including LTD, WSIB, EAP, benefits, etc.
- Respond to employee inquiries and requests
- HR Reporting - headcount, service anniversaries, seniority, etc.
- Participate in delivery/maintenance of key HR initiatives/projects as assigned
- Work efficiently in an open team structure and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Benefits administration - enrollments, salary changes, add dependents, tracking incoming enrollments based on hire date etc.
- Other responsibilities as needed
**Skills and Qualifications**:
- Post Secondary education; CHRP completed or in progress or equivalent combination of education and work experience
- Plant and/or manufacturing experience an asset
- 1-2 years of related human resources experience across several HR functions in a fast paced environment
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Working knowledge of HR practices, employment legislation and the various aspects of the employee life cycle
- Strong computer skills (HRIS, MS Office - Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Excellent time management skills
- Strong, professional, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills when interacting with internal and external clients
- Extremely detail oriented, accurate and efficient
- Sense of ownership, takes initiative and willingness to get the job done
- Demonstrates a high level of trust, integrity and diplomacy
