**Assistant Bookkeeper Position - Permanent Position**

We are a small business in the construction industry. As well as construction, we also provide seasonal landscape/snow removal services to commercial clients in the Ottawa area. Due to recent changes within the company, we are looking for an experienced Part Time Assistant Bookkeeper on a temporary basis to set up a new company in QuickBooks Desktop Pro, including the setting up of our existing customers and vendors. You will also setup a company bank account and credit card to enable doing monthly reconciliations. You will then post all of the payable and receivable transactions from January 01st 2023 to present into this newly set up company in QuickBooks Desktop Pro. You may also be asked to perform additional bookkeeping or administrative tasks, as needed. You would be required to work on-site at the office, working closely with the current Bookkeeper.

**Qualifications & Skills**:

- Minimum of 2 years of full-cycle bookkeeping experience, preferably within the construction industry
- Advanced knowledge of QuickBooks Desktop Pro
- Must be comfortable in setting up a new company in QuickBooks Desktop Pro
- Organized with meticulous attention to detail
- Must be fluent in English, French not required
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential information
- Knowledgeable in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Accurate data entry skills

**Education**:

- College, CEGEP or other non-university Bookkeeping certificate or diploma.

**Schedule**:

- 8 hour shift
- Full time, 5 days per week, Monday to Friday

**Salary**:

- Hourly, to be negotiated.
