**Sales Representative - Petroleum & Lubricants**

The Sales Representative position will play a pivotal role in the growth of our company by enhancing our relationships with existing and while identifying new business opportunities. You will leverage your education by learning all aspects of our business during our proven onboarding program.

We are looking for a “down-to-earth,” service-focused, hands-on individual, who will be continuously looking for ways to ensure that our growth is sustainable, profitable, and efficient. Your attention to detail combined with sales skills will be imperative for profitable revenue growth. You will be a key person within our sales organization who will work closely with management and our outside sales team.

Transit Petroleum Inc., along with Transit Lubricants Ltd., are independently owned and operated distribution companies headquartered in Kitchener, Ontario. Our collective companies have been active members of many communities in Ontario for over 145 years. Through our fleet of trucks and network of commercial fuel cardlock locations, Transit Petroleum is an industry leader providing businesses with gasoline, heating oil, diesel fuel, diesel exhaust fluid and related unique specialty services. **Responsibilities**:

- You will be responsible for prospecting and generating sales growth by acquiring new direct business accounts for all fuel products offered by Transit Petroleum.
- Building strong relationships with the existing customer base within your sales territory is crucial. Providing superior customer service to maintain and nurture these relationships will be a key aspect of your role.
- Collaborating with management to develop and implement effective sales strategies that drive sales, maximize profits, and achieve agreed-upon targets for your sales territory.
- You will be required to report all sales activities in your territory responsibly and thoroughly, using Transit’s own CRM System.
- Engaging in exciting after-hours entertaining to enhance customer relationships and strengthen loyalty. This includes Kitchener and Toronto area sporting venues, concerts, and charity events.
- You have a commitment to engage in territory sales activities from Monday to Friday, covering the following Ontario Regions: Southwest, Central, and the Greater Toronto Area.

**Qualifications**:

- A minimum of five years of experience in selling and working with commercial customers in a business-to-business sales relationship.
- A post-secondary degree or equivalent qualification is required.
- You should possess a high level of confidence and excel as a "Hunter," with a willingness to prospect and cold-call to acquire new clients.
- Highly organized with strong communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to represent the company professionally at all times.
- Demonstrated persistence through a highly energetic and motivated attitude.
- Critical thinking skills and the ability to "think outside the box."
- Strong negotiation and closing skills are essential for successful sales.
- Intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Office products: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Proven ability to utilize a CRM system to manage interactions and relationships with customers and prospects.
- Industry Knowledge: Experience and/or knowledge of the construction and aggregate industry would be considered an asset.
