Toronto, Canada LD Human Resources Full time

We are looking for Bookkeeper to join one of our client's growing team. Our client is a mid-size, privately owned company in the gaming and technology industry located in the core of Toronto. The full-time Bookkeeper will work closely with the Finance Department and will be responsible for various responsibilities

**Responsibilities include, but not limited to**:

- Process financial transactions in a timely and accurate manner
- Check and verify source documents such as invoices, receipts, etc.
- Process vendor invoices for payments
- Allocate and post financial transaction details
- Review bank activity and prepare monthly bank reconciliations
- Process payroll and employee benefits
- Maintain financial statements (trial balance, income statement, balance sheet)
- Organize and analyze account data and general financial reports
- Accounts Receivable and Payable
- Prepare month-end Financials
- Comply with relevant reporting requirements (GST/HST, WSIB, EHT, PD7A)
- Assist with budget preparation
- Assist in audit and year-end preparation for corporate tax return
- Maintain complete filing system to support financial records
- Assist management with ad hoc audit requests, reports, and process and special projects as assigned

**Qualifications**:

- 2 years-experience in Accounting and/or Bookkeeping
- Successful completion of a degree/diploma in Accounting, Finance or Business
- Designated accounting professional (CPA, CMA and CPA, CGA) is an asset
- Excellent understanding of general accounting principles and procedure
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, Xero; knowledge of other systems is an asset
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel

**Additional**:

- Strong math and accounting skill
- Experience in SRED is an asset
- Self-starter, professional, self-confident and organized
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Ability to work independently an as part of a team
- Solid written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be comfortable working in an entrepreneurial spirited, fast-paced, and changing work environment.
- Must be able to commute to office in Toronto
- Previous experience in the tech industry considered a strong asset
- Works well in a collaborative environment
- Passionate about our client experience
