**Bookkeeper - Remote - BC-Based Employee**

We are an e-commerce fulfillment platform designed to support customers logístical requirements throughout North America. Through a combination of company owned assets and partnering with best in class warehouse, middle-mile providers, and final mile couriers throughout North America, Straightship offers customers an alternate delivery option to the USPS, Canada Post, Fedex, and UPS.

The full-time **Bookkeeper** will work closely with the Management team with day to day point of contact on accounts payables, invoice entry, vendor inquiries and account reconciliations. A large part of this role will also be required to audit vendor invoicing to ensure the balances on their statements align internally with the internal data, and then follow-up with vendors on any discrepancies.

This is a great opportunity for someone with strong bookkeeping experience, interested in working with a small and growing team and loves the fast-paced nature of this industry. This position is fully-remote (must live in BC) and requires experience using Quickbooks online.

**Responsibilities**:

- Process invoices into accounting software with accuracy.
- Reconcile vendor statements to keep accounts current.
- Analyze and follow up on AR accounts.
- Preparation of month end bank and merchant reconciliations
- Process inter-company transactions, reconciliations and adjustment entries
- Reconciliation and management of corporate credit cards.
- Providing support with various research, project and data analysis when required.
- Administer employee time sheet data in support of payroll administration.
- Oversee administration of benefit programs.
- Administer trade apprentice reporting and programs.
- Various day to day office administration duties as required.
- File system maintenance

**Qualifications**:

- Demonstrated experience in an accounts payable role
- Excellent working knowledge of Quickbooks and Microsoft Office
- Strong working knowledge of Excel, including use of Pivot Tables
- Completion of accounting related program/courses preferred.
- Previous experience in a third-party fulfillment, logistics or shipping organization would be an asset
- You enjoy a growth environment with a strong desire to learn, adapt to change and evolve with a growing company.
- Good working knowledge of financial accounting and bookkeeping principles
- Conversational Mandarin an asset
- You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a good eye for detail.
- Self-motivated and independent to stay on task to achieve work goals in a remote work environment

**Job Type**: Full-time, Permanent - FULLY REMOTE
