Bookkeeper

Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and balance the general ledger in an accurate, complete, and up-to-date manner.
- Perform all activities related to the accounts payable function including reviewing, coding, and processing payments.
- Perform account receivable functions including invoicing, deposits, collections, and revenue recognition.
- Prepare trial financial reports such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, and assist CPA to finalize financial reports.
- Coordinate and resolve various issues with banks such as cleared check differences, bank fee anomalies, targeted balance calculations and enhancements to online services.
- Regularly maintain detailed reconciliations of all balance sheet accounts.
- Prepare and submit quarterly and yearly end reports.
- Provide detailed analyses and explanations of all transactions.
- Prepare documentation for external auditors.
Qualifications:
- College diploma in accounting or business administration.
- At least 2 years of experience in bookkeeping.
- Strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
- Detail-oriented and with a high degree of accuracy and precision.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
**Knowledge of Mandarin or Cantoness is asset**
**Salary**: $18.00-$22.00 per hour
