Accounts Payable Specialist

The Accounts Payable Specialist will report to the Controller and work closely with the entire finance and accounting team. This position has the flexibility to work remotely or out of Dycar’s head office in Calgary, Alberta, on a hybrid schedule.

Dycar Pharmaceuticals Ltd. (“Dycar”) is a privately-held licensed producer of cannabis under the Cannabis Act and Cannabis Regulations of Canada. Dycar is focused on the cultivation and processing of cannabis and the manufacturing of derivative products at our facility in Cranbrook, BC.

Dycar’s Mission Statement: Work together effectively with fun and integrity to create value as a low-cost, high-quality producer.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Ensure accuracy of invoices by matching to purchase orders and receiving documents.
- Enter invoices into QuickBooks Online (QBO)
- Process monthly expense reports.
- Obtain approval for invoices and expense reports.
- Reconcile accounts payable transactions.
- Compile backup for cheque runs and wire transfer payments.
- Process payments and invoices in a timely manner including posting payments to QBO
- Code and add all credit card transactions to QBO and reconcile to credit card statement monthly.
- Maintain accounts payable records in QBO and SharePoint.
- Respond to vendor inquiries regarding payment status.
- Scan and file documents in SharePoint.
- Other tasks as assigned.

**Education & Experience**
- 3+ years’ experience in Accounts Payable.
- Experience with QuickBooks Online.
- Post-secondary education in accounting, office administration, or a related field would be an asset.

**Skills & Abilities**
- Intermediate proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite including Excel.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-motivated and able to quickly learn new processes and programs.
- Highly organized with the ability to effectively prioritize tasks.
- Ability to identify and research necessary information.
