**Position: Assistant Manager** **Location: Montreal, Canada**
**Role and Responsibilities**:As an Assistant Manager at Stellina, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the restaurant's reputation for exceptional service and authentic Italian gastronomy. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- **Staff Training and Development**: Lead by example and educate our passionate team on the intricacies of Italian cuisine, wine, and service standards. Provide ongoing training to enhance their knowledge and skill set, ensuring an exceptional guest experience.
- **Administrative Duties**: Oversee administrative tasks such as managing reservations, handling customer feedback, inventory management, and scheduling. Maintain clear communication with both staff and management to ensure smooth operations.
- **Wine Expertise**: Possess an in-depth knowledge of Italian wines, enabling you to assist customers in making informed choices and elevating their dining experience. Curate and update the restaurant's wine list, reflecting the finest selections from various regions of Italy.
- **Guest Engagement**: Foster a warm and welcoming environment for our guests. Interact with customers to enhance their dining journey, answer questions, and provide recommendations.
- **Collaboration**: Work closely with the management team to implement strategies for improving operational efficiency, guest satisfaction, and overall restaurant performance.
**Qualifications**:
- Previous experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry, preferably in a high-end restaurant setting.
- Extensive knowledge of Italian cuisine, wines, and culture, with a focus on wines from various regions of Italy.
- Exceptional leadership skills and the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
- Strong organizational and administrative capabilities, with an eye for detail.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both in English and French (additional languages are a plus).
- A passion for delivering outstanding guest experiences and a dedication to upholding the restaurant's standards of excellence.
- Proficiency in using restaurant management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
