In collaboration with community, regional, provincial, national and international partners and with faculty and operational staff, this position is responsible for researching, developing, planning, implementing, administering and evaluating a variety of contract and custom training offerings at the Prince George campus of CNC. This position is responsible for partnership initiation and management, and accountability is to external as well as internal partners. The position will work closely with the Community and Education team to identify opportunities and ensure quality control within the assigned duties. This position is directly responsible for generating sufficient new projects in Community and Continuing Education to justify the workload and is responsible for the complete recovery of all related project and administrative costs.

Duties may include:

- Identify and investigate adult training and education programming opportunities, determine activities the College will pursue;
- Write proposals, negotiate proposals with funding partners and College partners;
- Develop project budgets, negotiate budgets with funding partners;
- Establish, implement and monitor comprehensive marketing and advertising processes;
- Handle a variety of special assignments independently;
- Ensure the financial viability of all projects, taking into account all direct and indirect costs;
- Research and assess industry and community training and education needs;
- Research industry standards and requirements;
- Research labour market data;
- Document project and course objectives and appropriate content, with the required community, faculty and administrative support and resources;
- Ensure the performance of prescribed tasks of faculty/staff/student recruitment, training, development and maintenance processes, such as identifying potential faculty through community and faculty processes and consultation, working with community/faculty to identify preferred qualifications, making arrangements with faculty for offered positions; ensuring faculty are informed about divisional administrative processes relevant to their educational activities;
- Assess industry and community training and educational needs, with appropriate community expertise, faculty and administrative supports to determine detailed course objectives, processes and outcomes;
- Ensure community partners, instructors and students are informed regarding project and course changes such as dates, times, locations, promotional activities, budgets, cancellation policies and decisions and other administrative issues arising;
- Initiate and facilitate collaborative group work in the community and the College, often with groups where no previous relationship exists, and where the reputation of the College’s work is at stake;
- Write briefing notes and make recommendations on research topics;
- Attend internal and external meetings, communicate with internal and external partners, advise internal and external partners on vision, direction and opportunities as well as internal and external policies and procedures affecting the work;
- Being part of a team actively engaged in contributing to and accomplishing the vision, mission, and goals of the College and in supporting the aspirations and needs of our learners and communities;
- Promoting a positive work atmosphere and communicating in a professional manner that demonstrates mutual respect with students and colleagues; and
- Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) specializing in: degree in adult education, or degree or diploma in another field and additional education in adult education, or equivalent combination of training and experience;
- 3 - 5 years experience in adult education and training coordination;
- Excellent organizational and planning skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, written skills must be demonstrated;
- Demonstrated understanding of adult education philosophy;
- Proven ability to facilitate collaborative group work;
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage all resources for project completion;
- Proven experience working with industry / business / community partners in education/training;
- Working knowledge of training needs assessment processes and development;
- Working knowledge of labour market research and research processes;
- Working knowledge of industry, business and community resources;
- Working knowledge of relevant funding agencies;
- Excellent skills in problem-solving, including the ability to resolve a variety of unusual conditions using both analytical skills and the development of new information on the problem situation;
