**Human Resources Administrator**

The Human Resources Administrator is responsible for carefully and accurately processing employee information into the Human Resources Information System to ensure employees are provided proper remuneration in adherence with government legislation and Christian Horizons’ policy. The Human Resources Administrator provides support and assistance to Managers and the Human Resources Department in reporting and managing employee documentation and changes.

**Responsibilities**:

- Receive, assess, and set up new hire packages ensuring all required documents are complete, signed and filled out properly, including Contract, Appendices, Vulnerable Sector Police Check, etc.
- Accurately enter employee information into Human Resources Information System regarding employee type classification, category, benefit threshold, rate of pay, etc.
- Follow up with appropriate managers if incorrect or missing information; including, initial medical, work permits, job descriptions, resignation confirmation letters, etc.
- Enter the information and make changes in Human Resources Information System for all changes relating to contract hours, starting or ending leaves of absence, termination, transfers, adding new contracts, in preparation for payroll processing.
- Ensure employment contracts are in compliance with the policies of the Employment Standards Act.
- Respond to inquiries from managers regarding contracts, new hire documentation, and entitlements.
- Create and distribute monthly reports regarding HR data to ensure the Developmental Services Act requirements are in compliance, including Canadian Work Permit report, step increase notices, outstanding documentation, demographic change info, etc.
- Manage benefit entitlements based on the employee’s contract, ensuring benefit changes occur in Human Resources Information System and are communicated to the Abilities Specialist through established tracking systems.
- Management of Leaves of Absence records in Human Resources Information System, communicating with the Abilities Specialist regarding Medical Leaves and Injury at Work Leaves.
- Review and confirm termination contract processing is complete. Ensure Record of Employment (ROE) code is provided and severance pay information is included (if applicable) before being sent to the payroll department.
- Keep current with archiving, including current employee files, terminated employee files, active employee files, electronic uploading into Human Resources Information System, based on established protocols.
- Maintain employee file system including recording of employment status changes.
- Ensure current, accurate information is entered into the database.
- Enter data and calculate special adjustments for Pay Equity, Step Increases, Bonuses, etc.

**Requirements**:

- 1 year of previous administration work experience in Human Resources, considered an asset.
- College Diploma in a related field of study
- HRIS experience considered an asset
- Problem solving skills
- Strong communication skills
- Computer skills
- Confidentiality, accuracy, and setting priorities
