About the Role
Under the direction of the Chief Marketing Officer, the Marketing Manager is responsible for the development, management, implementation, evaluation, and monitoring of Sakeenah Canada’s digital and traditional marketing.
The Marketing Manager is also responsible for overseeing the day-to-day management of the marketing team and ensuring the implementation, monitoring, and maintenance of effective marketing processes and procedures. The Marketing team is unique in the sense that they work closely, in some capacity, with every department at Sakeenah Canada.
Key Responsibilities
- With direction from the Chief Marketing Officer, plan, organize, and deliver various marketing initiatives to heighten public awareness, enhance public relations, and help attain fundraising goals;
- Support other core organizational activities such as internal communications and community development;
- Work with the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) to develop the digital marketing plan, collaborating with agencies as needed to enhance our online presence and reach.
- Manage the end-to-end process of developing, implementing, and analyzing social media advertising campaigns to optimize reach, engagement, and conversion rates.
- Supervise the day-to-day activities of the marketing team and promote a high level of performance and continuous improvement via mentorship, and the tracking and analysis of outputs via KPIs;
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including donors, community leaders, partner organizations, and media outlets, to enhance brand awareness and support.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of marketing campaigns and initiatives, using metrics and analytics to inform future strategies and optimizations.
- Ensure that the quality of work from the marketing team is the gold standard;
- Stay up to date on the news, and relevant issues;
- Collaborate with internal teams to gather content, stories, and updates from our projects
- Support the leadership team on other deliverables as neededOther duties as assigned by the Chief Marketing Officer
Qualifications:
- 2-4 years of related experience in a marketing environment
- Minimum 2 years of experience working in the charitable sector - Islamic non-profit experience is an asset
- Proficiency in the G Suite and tools like Canva, Asana, Mailchimp, Mailerlite, or equivalent
- Strong knowledge in utilizing social media advertising platforms or similar tools to strategize and execute effective campaigns on Meta, Tiktok, LinkedIn etc.
- Commitment to women and children’s issues working within an anti-racism and Islamic framework
- Non-judgmental outlook and a willingness to work with different types of people
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills are mandatory for this position
- Driver’s License is required
- Ability to travel as needed
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
Work Location: Hybrid remote in Mississauga, ON L4Z 1N9
