Accounting Assistant

Roles and Responsibilities
- SAGE Simply Accounting Experience is a MUST.
- Accounts Receivable/Credit Functions
- Follow up weekly with customers (collection calls)
- Send out monthly statements as requested.
- Responsible for account reconciliation
- Post cash receipts daily
- Communicate with owners on issues affecting AR
- Contact bank/trade references for all new customers
- Review of credit limits and make recommendations of any changes
- Prepare AR statements
- General Accounting Duties File & complete AR reserve each month
- Month end journal entries and accruals
- Reconcile accounts as requested.
- Process trade claim credits in conjunction with sales team
- Analysis/Reporting Weekly and monthly aging reviews, presentation and preparation
- Other general accounting & AR duties may be required

Qualifications and Experience
- Prior experience in General Accounting
- Prior experience in AR/Credit
- Excellent communication and English language skills Proficiency in Excel and Outlook
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to work independently
- Keen attention to detail
- High level of accuracy
- Ability to prioritize tasks efficiently
- Post secondary degree/diploma preferred but not mandatory.
- Must take initiative Education and Certifications

**Salary**: $18.00-$25.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday

Work Location: One location
