Job Summary

Responsibilities, Skills & Abilities:

  • Working knowledge of Dynamics GP.
  • Understanding of standard accounting practices.
  • Strong verbal and writing skills.
  • Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bookkeeping functions, ensuring payments are processed in a timely manner.
  • Prepare reconciliations and analysis required for journal entries and the preparation of monthly financial statements.
  • Assist in the preparation of journal entries.
  • Maintain all records with impeccable accuracy and timeliness.
  • Other accounting projects as assigned.
  • Comply with all policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as requested by management.
  • Relief coverage of other positions will be required when needed.
  • Organization, prioritization, and time management skills.
  • Ability to multitask while still maintaining great attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Willingness to learn, adapt and take initiative in light of new information and/or organizational changes.
  • Ability to identify administrative inefficiencies and provide input on improving systems and processes.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of accounting, finance, or bookkeeping experience is required.
  • Certificate, diploma or degree in business administration, bookkeeping, accounting, and/or a related field, an asset.
