As the Hive Events Coordinator, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and executing various events and activities within the facilities. You will work closely with the Events, Marketing & Communications Manager and gym management team to develop a diverse range of events that cater to climbers of all levels and ages, ensuring a fun and engaging experience for participants. Your creative vision, excellent organizational skills, and passion for climbing will be vital in promoting the gym, building a strong community, and driving overall customer satisfaction.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Plan, develop, and execute a wide range of climbing events, competitions, workshops, and community gatherings.
- Collaborate with gym staff and external partners to ensure smooth event logistics, including scheduling, staffing, and resource allocation.
- Engage with local climbing organizations and outdoor enthusiasts to foster partnerships and increase event participation.
- Collect feedback from participants to improve future events and meet customer expectations.
- Supervise and monitor events to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all attendees.
- Develop event budgets and work within set financial constraints.
- Maintain accurate records of event attendance, feedback, and financial data.
- Provide regular reports to the management team regarding event performance and areas for improvement.

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Marketing, Sports Management, or a related field is preferred.
- 2+ years in event planning and coordination, preferably in the sports or recreational industry.
- Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities to design innovative and engaging events.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with participants, staff, and external partners.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- 2+ years of climbing gym work experience (asset)
- Experience working closely with all ages

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $45,000.00-$55,000.00 per year

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed

Ability to commute/relocate:

**Education**:

- Secondary School (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Event Planing: 1 year (preferred)
- Marketing: 1 year (preferred)

Willingness to travel:

- 25% (preferred)

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Vancouver, BC V6A 2P3
