**Clinical Advisor, Continuing Care (Medical and Health 4) Edmonton or Calgary**
Join our Continuing Care Branch as a Clinical Advisor, where you'll use your extensive experience to develop and evaluate policies aimed at delivering person-centered care. Your role involves providing clinical expertise, strategic advice, and project management for provincial-level policies, legislation, and projects.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Contribute to evidence-based policy options and recommendations.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on various issues.
- Support the implementation of the updated continuing care legislative framework.
- Lead the development of future standards and policy updates.
- Implement and evaluate key initiatives, including home and community care and palliative care expansions.
- Monitor and evaluate quality indicators in home and community care.
**Immediate Focus**:
- Assist continuing care providers with legislative changes.
- Develop and evaluate policies for home and community care and palliative and end-of-life care.
- Monitor quality and address emerging trends in home and community care.
**What you Bring**:
- Strong clinical background with specific knowledge in continuing care (home care, palliative care, supportive living, long-term care).
- Excellent critical thinking, judgment, and analysis skills.

**Clinical Advisor, Public and Rural Health (Medical and Health 3) Edmonton**
Join our Audit and Compliance Review Services Team to help safeguard public funds by assessing compliance with billing requirements and addressing non-compliance. Utilize your clinical expertise to evaluate claims submitted to the Alberta Health Care Insurance Plan (AHCIP).
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Assess claims submissions and patient records for compliance with legislation, regulations, and the Schedule of Medical Benefits.
- Investigate health service utilization concerns and suspected inappropriate claims practices.
- Provide detailed analysis and quality assurance of claims information.
- Document findings accurately and impartially.
- Make recommendations based on gathered information and team assessments.
**Collaboration**:
- Work independently on files and collaborate with various professional teams.
- Share information and obtain feedback on assessments and technical interpretations.
- Provide clinical expertise and knowledge transfer within the team and to other Alberta Health staff.
