Front Desk Agent

Clarion Hotel & Conference Centre is looking for positive and energetic individuals to join the Front Desk team as Part-Time Front Desk Agents. This individual is responsible for registering guests at the hotel and acting as an ambassador for the Clarion Hotel & Conference Centre.
Reporting to the Front Office Manager, the Front Desk Agent delivers exemplary customer service to guests throughout their stay. The agent must be able to work various shifts, including days, evenings, and Nights, **Sunday through Saturday.**
- P.S. Morning shifts start at 7 am - you will need your transportation._
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Provide courteous, professional and attentive service at all times
- Process guest arrivals and departures, including all necessary payments
- Upsell guest rooms and packages and promote other services of the hotel
- Be well informed of all hotel rates & packages, hotel amenities and facilities, local areas and attractions
- Offer referrals for services and handle requests for information
- Follow up on special requests, concerns & inquiries
- Handle and store luggage
- Answering the switchboard, directing calls, responding to inquiries, and taking reservations
- Maintain the cleanliness and neatness of the front desk and lobby
- Responsible for managing a cash float and performing cashier duties
- Balancing credit cards, cash, debit transactions, cheques
- Participate in safety and emergency procedures
- Work closely with the housekeeping department to coordinate room status updates, special deliveries, and maintenance requests.
- The Front Office Manager or Supervisor may assign other daily tasks.
**Requirements**:
- Ability to work various shifts, including **days, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays.**:
- Previous experience in customer service and ability to handle high volumes of challenging guest-related interactions with professionalism
- Excellent interpersonal skills with excellent communication and observational skills
- Ability to work effectively under pressure, be well organized, and detail-oriented
- Cash handling experience
- Maintain the highest standards of professionalism, ethics, grooming, and attitude toward guests, clients, and associates.
- Maintain professional business confidentiality as required.
- Involves long periods of standing; prolonged computer use throughout the shift
- Will require lifting of luggage for storage
