Manager - Finance & Administration

**Key Duties and Responsibilities**:
**FINANCIAL**
- Prepare the annual operational and sales budget in communication with the General Manager.
- Guide and collaborate with external auditors to deliver timely annual audits which adhere to financial standards and regulations.
- Lead, coach, and mentor the accounting and administration team
- Perform account reconciliations including high volume bank reconciliations.
- Process payments for suppliers on a monthly cycle as well as immediate payment as required
- Review accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
- Conduct in-depth analysis on expenses and trends to provide actionable insights for continuous improvement.
- Perform full accounting cycle including journal entries, month-end closing, financial reporting and year-end closings.
- Review, negotiate and /or renew leases regarding equipment and service leases.
- Create and maintain excel spreadsheets in various areas to analyze, track, compile meaningful data and summaries regarding cashflow, sales, payroll, benefits, and numerous other analytical summaries.
- Deliver bank deposits on a weekly basis
- Accurately review and process expense reimbursements for staff expenses
- Other duties as assigned
**HUMAN RESOURCES**
- Process payroll on a semi-monthly cycle. Managing timesheets and ensuring accurate and timely payment of wages to employees.
- Administer and maintain employee benefits and pension plans
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee information both manually and digitally
Act as first point of contact for all employee-related issues and concerns
- Advise and coach team leaders on employee inquiries and issues while providing advice on personnel policies, employment standards and legislation
- Recruit, onboard, train and develop new staff members
- Other duties as assigned
**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Post-secondary education in Accounting/Finance or related field is required; CGA or equivalent designation (or near completion) is desirable
- Minimum 5+ years of related experience in a financial role including full cycle of accounting experience.
- Proficiency in preparing month-end financial statements
- Strong analytical skill
- Experience leading teams and managing employee matters preferred
- Proficient with MS Office Suite, with an emphasis on Excel
- Knowledgeable with Quick books software
- Experience with Dayforce/Ceridian Power Pay is considered an asset
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with individuals at all levels of the organization
- Highly efficient, organized and approachable work style with strong time management skills.
- Demonstrates high degree of accuracy, attention to detail and critical thinking.

- Must have access to reliable transportation
