- **WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR**_
Working out of our Scarborough-based warehouse, the Shipping Coordinator is responsible for making sure the movement of freight across North America is coordinated and executed successfully according to our customers’ needs. This role works closely with the Logistics and Operations Teams and is focused on providing exceptional customer service and ensuring business requirements are met.

- **WHAT YOU WILL DO**_
- Demonstrates behaviors aligned with the organization’s values and growth plans.
- Obtain multiple quotes based on underlying freight requirements to optimize cost and delivery lead time
- Document freight estimates/ costs based on selected carrier to provide billing support to the Accounting & Finance team
- Book, schedule and follow up with carriers to support on time delivery initiatives
- Systemically open/close shipments and prepare accurate bills of lading and customs paperwork (if applicable) for outbound freight, to ensure accurate and complete records of performance
- Ensure that drivers depart with appropriate, accurate and complete paperwork
- Maintain and neatly organize records of performance (BOL’s; Picklists; Customs paperwork; etc.) as per standard Harding Display operating procedures
- Ensure all shipments are timely and delivery schedule is met by working closely with internal and external teams
- Responsible for tracking administration, ensuring any problems that may arise are resolved to avoid customer service matters, including addressing customer tracking enquiries
- Initiate and process small package shipping documentation utilizing 3rd party software interfaces (3 primary 3rd party courier systems)
- Accurately record outbound CHEP transactions; Perform CHEP reconciliation procedures and related reporting
- Other duties as assigned
- **WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED**_
- 1-2 years of experience in a shipping or an administrative role.
- Experience in customer service.
- High School diploma, post-secondary school is an asset.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively interact with team members and external vendors.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to work within deadlines.
- Strong organization skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and pivot between competing demands.
- Takes initiative, is driven, and goal oriented.
- Intermediate level proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to create and manage spreadsheets, use formulas and functions, and generate reports.
- Basic mathematical knowledge.
- Experience with an ERP system is an asset.
