Since 1976, Tarion has provided new home warranty protection to more than 2 million Ontario homes. We serve new home buyers and new homeowners by ensuring that one of their life's biggest investments is protected. Almost every new home in the province is covered by a new home warranty. This warranty protection is provided by Ontario's builders and lasts up to seven years. It is backstopped by Tarion. More than 375,000 homes are currently enrolled in the warranty program. Every year about 55,000 new homes are enrolled.

If a builder does not meet their warranty commitments, Tarion offers guidance to help homeowners ensure they receive the coverage they're entitled to, and when necessary, steps in to help resolve warranty claims.
- This is a hybrid role requiring working two (2) days in the office and three (3) days remotely, per week._

**About the Role**

The primary function of this role is to assist the Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) with preparing and progress tracking for the organization's strategic plan, annual business plan, corporate KPI's, yearly Board of Directors planning sessions, as well as preparing Operations reporting and Requests for Proposal.

In addition, this role has an important component in managing corporate level projects and special initiatives with a focus on ensuring the key initiatives achieve goals and objectives in an efficient and effective manner.

**Responsibilities include**:

- Responsible for managing the process of developing the annual Business Plan and 3-year strategic plan, including coordinating the development of the corresponding Budget and progress reporting for the Annual Report:

- o Development of the schedule and drafts key segments of the plan.
- Coordination of the identification and detailed development of Key Initiatives and Key Performance Indicators.
- Tracking of Key Initiatives and Key Performance Indicators to ensure issues are identified early and addressed.
- Responsible for some or all aspects of project management for assigned initiatives. This Role can cover the lifecycle of a project and projects can range in size from single person to cross-functional.
- Assist the COO and other departments with Operational reporting and other tasks such as Requests for Proposals, facilitation, etc., as needed.
- Ensure Key Initiatives achieve their goals and objectives in an efficient and effective manner, tracking and reporting as appropriate to the sponsor, Corporate Leadership Team and Board of Directors.
- Perform other relevant/administrative duties such as status reports, communication with staff, etc., as required.
- A Bachelor's degree or higher in business administration with a focus on project management and leadership or a related field.
- Professional designation such as PMP, CBAP, ASM, or similar certification will be considered as an asset.
- 10+ years' experience in project management, business analysis, and large data set and statistical analysis.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a proven ability to communicate clearly and listen actively, and demonstrate depth of knowledge in problem identification and solving, project management, and business analysis.
- Must be knowledgeable of current technologies, tools and trends, be able to understand the technical aspects of a project, and communicate with technical team members effectively.
- Excellent leadership skills with a proven ability to negotiate, motivate and inspire teams and individuals, build relationships, and provide guidance and training to ensure project objectives are met.
- Experienced facilitator of conversations and planning activities, training, problem solving and teamwork.
