- In this role, you will be supporting the efforts of the Canadian Cancer Society to raise critical funds to change the future for those living with cancer and beyond. The Canadian Cancer Society is looking for our volunteer **Friends and Family Outreach Co-Leads** to support our newest event, “Trivia Night.” Volunteering with the Canadian Cancer Society is more than just a task or experience - it has a real impact. The Canadian Cancer Society is actively recruiting **Friends and Family Outreach Co-Leads** to join our team.
Brief Overview: Working in partnership with the CCS Staff Partner and the Committee, the Friends and Family Leads will provide recruitment, stewardship, and fundraising coaching support for our Friends and Family teams. This role involves working collaboratively to help share the strategic direction of the **“Trivia Night” **event which includes identifying opportunities for event growth and success.

- A confident salesperson: willing and able to use digital, phone, and in-person opportunities to talk to prospective participants and promote the event.

- Interested in planning events and working with a variety of people from diverse backgrounds.
- Committed to the confidentiality of all CCS records, business, and intellectual property.

Your commitment
- As a Friends and Family Outreach Lead you can expect to work on the following:
- Recruit friends and family teams to participate in the 2024 All Cancers Trivia Event.
- Build a recruitment strategy, identifying where and how to recruit Friends and Family teams to the event.
- Attend events as a CCS Representative with the objective of recruiting participants.
- Self-monitor progress towards goals.
- Support Friends and Family engagement by building relationships with the teams you recruit to the event, providing coaching to help them reach their fundraising goals.
- Be on site for event day to assist with set up and take-down.
- Works closely with CCS staff partner
- Flexible to jump-in where needed on committee tasks
