- In this role, you will be supporting the efforts of the Canadian Cancer Society to raise critical funds to change the future for those living with cancer and beyond. The Canadian Cancer Society is looking for our volunteer **Social Media Lead** to support our newest event, “Trivia Night.” Volunteering with the Canadian Cancer Society is more than just a task or experience - it has a real impact. The Canadian Cancer Society is actively recruiting a **Social Media Lead **to join our team.
Brief Overview: Working in partnership with the CCS Staff Partner and the Committee, the Social Media lead will create and execute all things social media related.

- Able to dedicate 1-3 hours per week (more in the final weeks leading up to event day) working on this event.

Your commitment

- As the Social Media Lead you can expect to work on the following:

- Create and execute social media plan leading up to event day and post event engagement.
- Lead marketing strategy discussions to create a local marketing and promotion plan using CCS national guidelines.
- Promote event within the community working with media outlets.
- Engage with supporters, share event information, answer questions, and share cancer content in an engaging direction.
- Mange all accounts, create and publish posts, leading up to the event and on event day.
- Engage with corporate teams, top fundraisers, and top teams.
- Celebrate the achievements of the event and its participants/teams through posts, reels, and stories.
- Be on site for event day, running social media channels and posting throughout the event.
- Keep social media channels running in the off-season, celebrating major milestones, and keeping audience engaged and excited for the annual event.
