Food Service Manager

**Education**:Secondary school diploma and several years of management experience in the food service sector.
**Languages**:English
**Experience**: 3 years to less than 5 years
**Specific Skills**:
- Managing the day-to-day food & beverage operations within the Lodge and managing employees, and maintaining and elevating service, food safety and sanitation standards.
- Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the operations of the restaurant
- Determine type of services to be offered and implement operational procedures
- Recruit staff and oversee staff training
- Direct support in the day-to-day operations for the housekeeping and front line including, but not limited to, such as Set staff work schedules and monitor staff performance, employee management, purchasing, etc.
- Leading the food & beverage team by establishing and maintaining open & collaborative relationships with employees, reviewing employee satisfaction surveys to identify and address employee problems or concerns.
- Control inventory, monitor revenues and modify procedures and prices
- Ensure exceptional customer service is being provided to guests, through leading by example and empowering employees with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Negotiate arrangements with suppliers for food and other supplies
- Negotiate arrangements with clients for catering
- Control food and labour costs
- Drive the financial success of the unit's operation
- Conduct regular audits to ensure company & regulatory standards are met.
- Adhere to safety policies and procedures by following company Safe Work Practices and Standard Operating Procedures.
