NONU $30.51/hr $36.98/hr**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Reporting to the Director, Human Resources, the Administrative Assistant - HR Helpdesk will provide confidential and professional administrative support and clerical services to the HR team.
- The incumbent will perform a wide range of administrative functions including, but not limited to, proactive and independent management of Director’s calendar in order to maximize best use of time, preparing and distributing documents, scheduling and coordinating meetings, managing office supplies, and providing support to other Human Resource personnel/areas as required.
- Act as the helpdesk and first point of contact for information and assistance to employees and the department’s internal and external customers and triaging issues with the appropriate stakeholders.
- Coordinate travel arrangements; process expense claims; process course registrations and fees.
- Ensure material required for committees & meetings are identified and provided to the Director, Human Resources.
- Maintaining appropriate lists, manuals, documentation and HR budget tracking.
- Print and collate monthly financial reports.
- Enter and retrieve employee data from the Human Resource Information System (HRIS) as required.
- Assist in the development of reports/presentations including the development of illustrations (graphics) to support concepts.
- Format all reports/presentations using professional report writing standards as guidelines including ensuring the accuracy of spelling, grammar, and other structural elements.

**REQUIREMENTS**:
- Undergraduate degree in Human Resources or Business Administration and two (2) years experience in a health care setting; or
- Office or Business Administration certificate/diploma from a recognized college program and three (3) years experience in a health care setting; or
- In lieu of formal education, five (5) years of Administrative Assistant experience of which two (2) years are in a health care setting.
- Maintain discretion/confidentiality with regard to all information and issues within Human Resources in particular relating to patients, staff, physicians, and hospital administration.
- Ability to work as part of a team, to interrelate with all levels of staff in a professional manner, to work with mínimal supervision, to multitask, and continually prioritize duties.
- Excellent interpersonal communication (oral and written) and organizational skills are required.
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point, Access, and Microsoft Project is essential.
**PREFERRED**:
- Experience with an HRIS
- A CHRP designation completed or in progress
- General knowledge of overall HR operations, processes, and procedures
