**Donation & Sponsorship Planner**

Number of positions: 1 Job Location: Dunsmuir 15

Employment type: Temporary Region: Lower Mainland

Hours of work: Full-time (37.5 hrs/wk) Flexible Work Role: Hybrid

Annual salary: $ 62,300.00 - 67,100.00

**What you'll do**
- Leads the BC Hydro scholarships program by maintaining working relationships with staff at administering institutions and

scholarships and implements awards with participating institutions.
- Participates in United Way (UW) Campaign planning as the primary contact for approximately fifty to seventy-five

campaign representatives (“reps”) across the province, by performing duties such as: planning and leading meetings;
tracking and reporting the overall campaign budget; advising reps on event management and execution for approximately
forty separate events; managing and tracking rep event plans and expenses; developing campaign materials, such as
posters, desk drops, promotional giveaways; seeking unique stories and opportunities to promote reps’ events and overall
campaign communications; managing the SharePoint resource site and Hydroweb pages for the campaign; answering
questions and addressing reps’ concerns during the campaign; and maximizing opportunities to integrate multi-stakeholder
goals and efforts during event planning and execution. Attends UW planning meetings and some of the reps’ events.
- Provides implementation consultation and support for grant and sponsorship programs by performing duties such as:
evaluating value of programs against established criteria, recommending program changes, and implementing approved

for selection; preparing a short list of grant and sponsorship recommendations for management approval; and writing

- Acts as the content lead for the department’s internal and external communication streams by managing and writing

content for respective community giving websites. Also, seeks profiling opportunities to showcase BC Hydro partners and
the positive impacts BC Hydro funding makes in communities across the province. Acts as the key content liaison to other
Corporate Communication teams and sources and develops stories that attract, engage and add value to target audiences.

- Serves as system administrator of the corporate grants management software, and consults with software vendor on

system enhancements and trouble shooting and carries out testing to ensure functionality of enhancements and fixes.
Provides the point of contact for all software users, both external (such as applicants) and internal business groups.
- Prepares budget information and forecasts for the Community Investment programs; monitors plan to actual program

expenditures; and prepares monthly variance analysis and reports for management review. Tracks and issues contracts/
procurement documents for programs.
- Performs duties of a minor nature related to the above duties that do not affect the rating of the job.

**What you bring**

The necessary skills, knowledge and abilities are typically acquired through completion of a college level Diploma with an

perform the full scope of the job. Practical knowledge of grants management software, such as Benevity, is an asset.
