Full Cycle Bookkeeper/Payroll Administrator
Vista Medical is currently looking for a qualified individual to fill the position of Financial Administrator/Full Cycle Bookkeeper 5 days per week on a permanent basis.
Payroll Duties
Complete on boarding of new employees.
Prepare semi-monthly payroll for employees within Payworks payroll system including data entry, full-cycle pay runs, preparation of records of employment, and reporting.
Review and audit payroll entries to ensure accuracy and submit at payroll cut-off.
Ensure input and accurate, timely information including process new hires, changes and terminations.
General filing and maintenance of Payroll/HR employee files.
Track work permit and term contract end dates.
Administer and manage the Company’s benefit plan including enrollment, termination, general inquiries and communicating changes.
Assist with initiatives such as policies and HR process implementation.
Answer all employee payroll/HR inquiries.
Provide administrative support through reporting, metrics administration, etc.
Other duties and special projects as assigned.
Filing annual Workers Compensating reports and remittances.
Bookkeeping Duties:
Perform and oversee accounts payable and cash management tasks.
Prepare and make bank deposits as needed.
Prepare vendor payments via Chq, EFT, ACH and Wire Transfer.
Perform general ledger account analysis and reconciliation.
Perform month & year end entries and accruals.
Prepare monthly and quarterly Financial Statements.
Provide solutions to accounting issues as they arise.
Provide support to individuals working within the business unit and accounting department.
Prepare and file all provincial and federal tax reports, submit payments as required in a timely manner.
Qualification and Requirements:
Formal training in accounting/Bookkeeping or comparable exposure through work experience preferred (Min 3 Yrs work Experience).
Minimum 3 years experience in Payroll and HR.
Highly effective organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
Strong attention to detail.
Experience with intercompany Foreign Currency accounts an asset.
Ability to manage, organize and coordinate multiple tasks.
Experience in Sage/Simply Accounting or QuickBooks an asset.
Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Office.
