**Summary**
Reporting to the VP, Sales, the Account Director, Foodservice leads the management and growth of our Foodservice and Industrial segments. The role is responsible for delivering and accelerating our Foodservice mission to double the Foodservice business in the next 3-5 years. This includes being the Foodservice Subject Matter Expert, identifying and optimizing opportunities both with our current customer base and developing and implementing strategies to acquire new business in these segments. This role requires developing relationships with multiple customer stakeholders.
**Responsibilities**
- Achieve profitable sales growth by understanding the complexities of the customer’s business and building enduring relationships based on trust and integrity.
- Lead the development and alignment of annual business plans identifying key initiatives and establishing targets. Continually monitor progress against these plans and adjust as required.
- Establish strong understanding of product, process capabilities, and available capacity.
- Lead, coach and manage 2 Associates leveraging Company talent management processes
- Build strong Cross-Functional collaboration with key stakeholders across the organization: Supply Chain, Finance, Operations, R&D and others as relevant.
- Deliver against a growth agenda, pursuing business expansion opportunities with current customers and acquiring new customers.
- Lead relationship and performance management of 3rd party Broker, setting and ensuring growth targets are met/exceeded.
- Executing and adjusting the optimal go to market strategy
- Develop customer plans that may include annual or multi year agreements, strategic and tactical pricing and promotional plans where applicable that align with the Company’s strategic and operating plan.
- Negotiate agreements and pricing adjustments
- Ongoing analysis of customer performance and enhance as appropriate
- Responsible to ensure complete responses to RFP’s
- Lead internal and external presentations on business performance and risks/opportunities
- Visit customers and spend time in market to provide business review presentations and ensure customer satisfaction and promote ongoing contract renewal.
- Act as a system wide customer expert to ensure Select system understands the customer(s) objectives, strategy and positioning.
- Includes both Canadian and potential US based customers
**Qualifications**
- 5+ Years experience and existing relationships with Foodservice customers in Canada and preferably USA
- Post-secondary degree in Business Administration or related field
- Work with multiple Select stakeholders to identify opportunities and solve customer issues
- Demonstrated complex customer negotiations
- Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously - prioritize, organize and ask for help as required
- Able to adapt, understand and manage changes in situations, priorities and workload accordingly
- Extensive understanding of top line sales and levers that impact profitability
- A solution-oriented mindset with the focus on the customer
- Knowledge of bottom-up budgeting and forecasting
- Individual who can influence others in resolving issues and capitalize on opportunities
