Technical Sales Specialist, Database Management

**Minimum qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 6 years of experience with data migration strategies and moving production systems in on-premise/data center environments to the cloud.
- 4 years of experience with database technologies and database administration techniques.
- Experience in delivering technical presentations and leading discovery and planning sessions that are aligned jointly with the customer with defined scope and success criteria.

**Preferred qualifications**:

- Experience with data migration strategies and moving large-scale production systems either in on-premise/data center environments or migration to cloud.
- Experience in optimizing database performance with transactional and/or analytic workloads.
- Experience in Disaster Recovery (DR) and data backup strategies.
- Experience in understanding a complex customer’s existing software workloads.
- Knowledge of SQL with deep query troubleshooting.
- Ability to define a technical migration roadmap to the cloud reflecting customer needs.

**Responsibilities**:

- Work with the team to identify and qualify business opportunities, identify key customer technical objections, and develop a strategy to resolve technical blockers.
- Support the technical relationship with Google customers, including product and solution briefings, proof-of-concept work, coordination and prioritization of solutions impacting customer adoption of Google Cloud.
- Work with customers to demonstrate and prototype Google Cloud product integrations in customer/partner environments.
- Travel to customer sites, conferences, and other related events as needed.
