Outside Sales Representative

**Pentco Industries is a leader in the kitchen cabinet door industry providing laminate, melamine, and painted doors to the single and multifamily industry. We operate out of an 88,000 square foot facility and have been in business since 1979. We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join our team and grow our business on the West Coast.**
**Function**:
Call on existing accounts as well as prospect for new accounts. Maintain an accurate database; provide insight related to market trends, competitive pricing, and new product opportunities. Develop a strong professional relationship with key decision makers.
**Responsibilities**:
- Essential Functions:_
- Develop and maintain relationships with new and existing clients.
- Continue to maintain and grow the top 100 accounts, while developing the other 400 accounts Understand the specific needs of architects, designers, millwork shops, kitchen cabinet shops and cabinet professionals.
- Conduct product demonstrations and provide technical expertise as needed.
- Collaborate with our production team to ensure client satisfaction.
- Minimum of 3 calls per day
- Determine market share by customer and product type.
- Follow up on projects to ensure we have accurate information in order to meet start dates.
- A high percent of the time (~80%) will be spent out of the office maintaining functions listed above.
- Complete a monthly call report with detailed information regarding each call.
- Participate and prepare for sales meetings as requested by management.
- Meet and exceed sales goals established by management.
- Management has the right to add functions as required to improve business operations.
- Work with the cross functional teams to develop a culture of efficiency and improvement.
- Maintain a vehicle that is in good running order and presentable to customers.
- Must be willing to travel and work trade shows as requested by management.
- Additional Duties:_
- Perform any duty requested by the President, VP of Operations or Owners
**Required Education/Skills/Experience**:
- Background in professional sales with a minimum of 1 year of experience
- A college / community degree or 5 years of business experience
- Self-driven, motivated and results oriented
- Must have moderate ability to operate in Microsoft word /excel/ power point
- Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with, co-workers and management.
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency
- Must have the ability to follow verbal and written communications/instructions
**Beneficial Skills and Experience**:
- Previous sales experience in the distribution and management and supervision
**Operating Principles**:
Employees are expected to work in a manner consistent with Pentco Industries Operating Principles; specifically, work and act as a team player in all interactions with other divisions of Pentco; provide a high level of customer service at all times; project and maintain a positive image with those contacted in the course of work; develop and maintain collaborative and respectful working relationships with co-workers and others; consistently provide quality service.
