The **PAYROLL & COLLECTIONS COORDINATOR** is responsible for timely and effective processing of the company’s payroll using ADP Workforce Now. They will also be the Administrator for Time & Attendance and perform general accounting duties as directed by the Director, Finance & Accounting.

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Processes payroll timely and accurately using ADP Workforce Now, i.e., input and submit payroll to ADP according to strict timelines, ensuring that all information is correct.
- Investigates and resolve payroll discrepancies as well as answers employee queries about their pay.
- Performs calculations for Sales Commissions and applicable adjustments such as bonus payments, allowances, retroactive payments, etc.
- Prepares Records of Employment, Income Tax forms, remittances and all year-end tax information slips and filings, as required.
- Generates employment verification letters for Director, Human Resources’ signature.
- Monitors and maintains vacation and time off records as the Administrator of the ADP Time & Attendance system, assisting employees with their queries on how to use the system.
- Audits and pays monthly group insurance premiums (invoices).
- Processes pension remittances on a timely basis and audits the pension report/system from time to time to ensure accuracy of information.
- Reconciles all payroll related general ledger accounts.
- Produces, analyzes, and distributes various non-payroll reports.
- Assists in month end close with journal entry preparation and other financial analytical reporting as assigned by the Director, Finance & Accounting.
- Co-serves as back-up to Reception.

**MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS**:

- Previous, relevant work experience processing Canadian payroll using ADP Workforce Now and ADP Time & Attendance. ADP Workforce Now experience is a **MUST**.
- Excellent and clear written and verbal business communication skills in English for communicating. internally and externally with all groups of people from Executives to Warehouse Labourers to government workers.
- Highly competent with computers with advanced-level proficiency in Microsoft Office Tools.
- Basic knowledge of Canadian employment law and excellent knowledge of Payroll legislation.
- Superior attention to detail.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to ensure and protect integrity of data and be discreet and confidential in handling employee information.
- Ability to multi-task and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Ability to follow-through independently with mínimal supervision.
- Extremely strong bias for cleanliness, neatness, and organization.
- Strong time management - ability to manage self, time, and priorities.
- Excellent internal customer service focus and able to speak with tact and diplomacy.
- Works the standard schedule of 35 hours per week; however, job requirements will include additional and/or extended work time as the business dictates.
