**Job Summary**:
Artscape is currently seeking one (1) qualified individual to join our team as the Community Living Room Coordinator at Daniels Spectrum, a community cultural hub in Regent Park.

The Community Living Room Coordinator will work scheduled hours to support programming, animation and community engagement activities in the Community Living Room at Daniels Spectrum. The work schedule will vary and will include weekends and evenings.

**About the Community Living Room at Daniels Spectrum**

Located on the ground floor of Daniels Spectrum, The Community Living Room provides an accessible, safe and inclusive space that strengthens community ties while serving as a primary site of economic, social and cultural exchange in Regent Park.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Provide a high standard of customer service as the first point of contact for the Community Living Room
- Direct the inquiries to the appropriate staff member/department
- Respond in accordance with Artscape policies and procedures
- Working with the Hub Manager, assist in planning and delivering signature events in the Community Living Room, including logistics, promotion, and on-site coordination; Prepare and maintain internal hub-specific communications, including weekly building newsletters, event calendars, building updates
- With the support of the Hub Manager, coordinate and support internal and external community events at Daniels Spectrum, including organizing logistics, administrative support, event support, marketing and promotions and other assigned tasks
- Works with event clients for the Community Living Room and conducts onsite visits, promotional support, and administrative support including creating contracts, event logistics and other associated tasks
- Foster and maintain meaningful, trusting and collaborative relationships with tenants and local community organizations to understand programming needs, identifying areas of support where Artscape can further assist our partners and their initiatives
- Post-event cleaning, ensuring clients have removed all of their materials at appropriate times, including waste removal, floor and surface cleaning; Maintaining facility logs, product use, incidents and suggestions for improving the health, safety and cleanliness in and around the building
- Light housekeeping of washrooms, kitchenettes, counters and other common areas
- Provide administrative support. Provide input to improve existing programs in the Community Living Room
- Research and identify opportunities for our tenants and local community partners
- to develop clear communication lines between Artscape and our tenants and local community partners

**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS**
- Post-secondary education in event management, business administration, or a related field
- Minimum one (1) year of experience in arts and culture, customer service and administration; Working within the not-for-profit sector is considered an asset
- Extensive understanding of the Regent Park community
- Well organized, detail-oriented and a strong multitasker; Highly self-motivated, takes initiative
- Fluent in English (written and spoken). Other languages are considered an asset.
- Strong time management, negotiation and sales skills; understanding of sales processes and what it takes to convert leads into sales
- Ability to work both independently (self-directed), but also able to collaborate effectively with other team members, and multi-task in a creative, dynamic environment;
