**The Role**

The Community Marketing Coordinator will be responsible for building relationships, generating awareness, and driving Pedalheads’ growth in the BC market. To do so, this approximately 40 hr/week role is hybrid and requires a mix of work during business hours, evenings, and weekends. The Community Marketing Coordinator will be instrumental in making Pedalheads a household name in this market and in helping us achieve our registration goals. The Community Marketing Coordinator will plan and execute high visibility on-the-ground marketing tactics that create interest and excitement among our key audiences across the Lower Mainland.

**Duties and responsibilities**

This is a full-time, 12-month contract and could potentially develop into a more permanent position in the future. This is a fun, active role that helps us further entrench Pedalheads into the community and it involves meeting new people, looking for business collaboration opportunities and partnerships for activating on-site events. This role requires someone who is hands-on and loves networking. Proven experience in event marketing, local store marketing, sales or customer service would be an asset.

**Community Outreach**
- Develop relationships with schools, Parent Advisory Councils (PACs), local media, businesses and other potential partners and implement programming to drive registrations (e.g. school fundraisers, pop-up events, referral programs, sharing on social media feeds.)
- Research and attend appropriate local events to connect with families in the community and hand out information and/or provide demonstrations of Pedalheads camps.
- Research and schedule marketing drops at targeted locations.
- Be a market expert and provide information that can help the Pedalheads marketing team better understand and communicate with the community and potential customers.
- Track and report on Community Marketing initiatives.

**Marketing Support**
- Support with local marketing material ordering, re-ordering and inventory reporting for BC as well as all other Pedalheads regions across Canada and the USA.
- Liaise with Regional Managers, City Managers, and Regional Coordinators to share ideas, acquire materials or bookings they would need to secure, and help to support their region’s marketing goals.
- Be the Regional Marketing goal champion by meeting with teams on an ongoing cadence to track marketing efforts throughout the year.
- Drive registration goals by: discovering and proposing new marketing tactics including digital and traditional media such as outdoor/transit/print/radio/direct mail.
- Post on local community and third-party platforms (ie. Websites, Facebook Groups, Social media pages, community bulletins.)
- Provide social media content (photography or video) to the Pedalheads marketing team (ie. photos taken at events or school activations)
- Suggest key influencers or ambassadors among the local parent community that would help promote the Pedalheads brand.
