Torcan Lift Equipment is seeking to hire a full time, permanent accounting clerk. Our team is looking for a driven, independent, and knowledgeable individual who is ready to grow and excel in their career
- The accounting clerk is responsible for
- Processing accounts payable transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
- Processing accounts receivable transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
- Processing banking transactions.
- Processing credit card transactions.
- Assisting with month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records in the company's accounting software.
- Assisting with payroll processing and ensure accuracy of payroll records.
- Preparing financial reports and summaries as needed.
- Responding to inquiries from vendors, customers, and internal stakeholders regarding financial matters.
- Performing other office duties as required.
- Providing support to other members of the finance team as needed.
- Providing support to other members of the rentals, service and training teams as needed.

**Qualifications**:

- Post-secondary degree in accounting
- At least 2 years of experience in accounting or finance.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
