**Technical Analyst, CAD - 2 Positions**

**Public Works - Operations Support**

**Regular Full-Time**

Reporting to the Supervisor of CAD/GIS, you will prepare, manage, review and complete engineering design drawings, contract documents and related information ensuring compliance for Water, Wastewater and Transportation (Roads) Capital Projects

**Responsibilities**:
- Manage, analyze and prepare CAD design requirements for Watermain, Wastewater and Roads capital projects
- Analyze survey data and create Digital Terrain Modeling and prepare contour information, road cross sections (typical and detailed at critical locations) as well as profile requirements for design requirements
- Prepare initial and ultimate rights-of-way property requirements for both acquisition and easements needs for proposed Regional infrastructure
- Process Survey data for design plan creation; including Digital Terrain Modeling, contour, profile and cross section preparation, using InRoads design software and AutoTurn Software
- Manage all requirements of obtaining external agencies existing utility information
- Presentation and training of Regional CAD standards and design practices to retained consultants of the programs groups
- Provide project planning and contract management support to Road, Water and/or Wastewater Project Managers
- Prepare communication plans for all appropriate project agencies and stakeholders as requested by the project manager
- Project coordination of CAD requirements for external projects and consultants including preparation of required Regional data sets, review and acceptance of consultant CAD submissions for compliance with Regional CAD Standards, including providing expert guidance, advice or direction to external agencies in achieving compliance with Region of Peel Public Works CAD Submission Standard- Manage and prepare final CAD as built drawings from inspectors’ drawings, electronic diary and submitted as built topographic survey data to ensure compliance with existing
- legislation (Municipal Drinking Water Licensing Program)- Demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion through continuous development, modeling inclusive behaviors, and proactively managing bias

**Qualifications**:
- Successful completion of a degree/diploma within the Civil discipline with a minimum of five (5) years of related experience- Certified Engineering Technologist within the Civil discipline registered with OACETT
- An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered- Must have thorough knowledge of MicroStation CAD platform and municipal civil engineering practices previous experience with InRoads design software preferred- Solid understanding and experience related to transportation, water and wastewater systems
- Solid and proven project management skills
- Proficient with MS Office, GIS software such as Geomedia or ESRI
- Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Proven organizational, time management and administrative skills
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Previous experience with AutoTurn design software an asset

**Location**: In this role you will have the ability to work remotely and attend on-site when required based on operational requirements at the 10 Peel Centre Dr, Brampton, ON worksite. The frequency of on-site activities may vary on a weekly basis and based on operational requirements. Your remote work location must be located within the province of Ontario.

**Hours of Work**:35 hours per week
