Highlights of the job

We are hiring a Full Time Permanent Manager, Facilities & Real Estate position working out of Edmonton, AB.

The Manager, Facilities is accountable for providing day-to-day facility management for Aurum and the pumpwells ensuring operational and safety requirements are met at all times. This includes planning and management of maintenance and repairs, space (offices, fleet, parking) and move planning, and facility contractor management. This role is also accountable to understand operational and capital costs and work within outlined budgets.

What you’d be responsible for

**Facility Management**
- Plan, prioritize and manage facility maintenance and repairs
- Complete ongoing space planning for offices, fleet, and parking to maximize space and support operational efficiencies
- Manage shared spaces (i.e. boardrooms, kitchens, cafeteria)
- Coordinate moves and furniture change out requirements
- Manage the facility contractor:

- Ensure all contractual commitments and HSE policies/procedures are met
- Develop quality control review process to assess contractor work
- Prioritize and ensure critical work is completed
- Operate within approved operational and capital budgets
- Develop and manage clear and accessible facility processes
- Ensure facilities meet compliance/regulatory standards
- Engage stakeholders to understand facility requirements

**Facility Capital Program**
- Support development of lifecycle replacement programs and associated business cases for required facilities
- Ensure that business needs are reflected in the facilities plans and activities. Oversee building condition assessments to determine required future life cycle replacement projects and required capital investment
- Work with procurement to manage the development of RFP and related procurement processes for facilities

**Planning and Execution**
- Participate in and execute the development of operational plan for the unit and the identification of objectives and priorities (annual work plan) for the upcoming year.
- Anticipate and remove challenges and obstacles to delivering the annual work plan.
- Respond to shifts in priorities as required.
- Ensure that work is completely safely and efficiently.

What’s required to be successful
- Undergraduate degree in Business
- 7+ years of Supply Chain experience
- Professional designation in Facilities Management, Supply Chain Management, Purchasing or Project Management highly desirable
- 5+ years in a Leadership capacity
- 5+ years in Facility Management
- 5+ years managing stakeholder/customer relationships
- Experience in process redesign is considered an asset
