**Human Resources Assistant**

**9-12 Month Contract**

Jewish Family and Child Service is a multi-service, client-centered, family service agency and a Children’s Aid Society. We support the healthy development of individuals, children, families, and communities through prevention, protection, counselling, education, and advocacy services, within the context of Jewish values.

**About the Role**

We are seeking a dedicated
**Human Resources (HR) Assistant **to join our team. This entry level position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands on experience in various HR functions. In this role, you will be providing administrative support to the HR Team, support recruitment and selection, training and development and health and safety processes.
_This is a non-union position_
- , with a hybrid work option available._

**Responsibilities***:

- Provide administrative support to the HR Team and assist with HR projects.
- Assist in the recruitment by participating in pre-screening, scheduling interviews, reference and criminal checks, creating postings (internal and external) and preparing internal announcements
- Maintain accurate and up to date HR files
- Assist in the preparation of HR related documents
- Assist in compiling, inputting and preparing HR related reports
- Provide technical support to Workforce Now users
- Represent the Agency’s mission, vision, and values in the community
- Perform other duties as assigned

**Qualifications***:

- Undergraduate degree or post-secondary diploma in human resources or related field.
- 2 years experience in Human Resources or Administration
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and knowledge of Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS)
- An understanding of recruitment tools, resume databases, and social media platforms
- Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
- Comprehension of French or another language will be considered an asset
