Office Administrator

Responsibilities:
- Manage phone systems and handle incoming calls with professionalism and excellent phone etiquette
- Greet visitors and direct them to the appropriate person or department
- Maintain and organize files, both physical and digital, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality
- Assist with calendar management, scheduling appointments, and coordinating meetings
- Oversee the front desk area, ensuring it is clean, organized, and presentable
- Provide administrative support to various departments as needed
- Assist with training and development initiatives for new employees
- Utilize medical office management software to input and update patient information
**Experience**:
- Proven experience in office administration or a related field
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proficient in using office software such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Experience with phone systems and handling incoming calls
- Knowledge of medical office management is a plus
- Ability to work well in a team environment and manage a small team if required
**Job Type**: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months
Pay: $23.00 per hour
Schedule:
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Pickering, ON M8W 3C5: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
