**IMPORTANT**:Effective immediately - Full-time replacement position
**APPLICATION DEADLINE**: September 9, 2024
**JOB SUMMARY **UNDER THE DIRECT SUPERVISION OF PROCUREMENT MANAGER AND THE GENERAL AUTHORITY OF THE DIRECTOR OF FINANCE, THE INCUMBENT PERFORMS VARIOUS ADMINISTRATIVE AND TECHNICAL SUPPORT TASKS FOR THE PROCUREMENT DEPARTMENT.
**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
**Procurement**
- Research vendors and equipment as required and analyse quotations from suppliers
- Liaise with suppliers
- Be involved in certain administrative processes dealing with tenders and large quotes
- Prepare correspondence for vendors
- Perform inventory count of all college assets
- Helps prepare documents for tender and quotes using the appropriate templates
- Publish qualified purchases on the Services Électronique d’Appel d’Offres (SEAO) as per law C65.1
- Prepare requisitions as requested
- Verify all information and process purchase orders, ensuring proper authorizations are recorded
- Resolve problems with purchase orders, receiving slips and invoices by making enquiries
- Provide support and troubleshoot problems for users of the purchasing program
- Work with internal clients to assess furniture needs, develop options and recommend new furniture for purchase, according to College standards
- Source furniture solutions to meet needs of internal clients
- Ensure that all purchases go through Shipping/Receiving for tagging and inventory recording
**Miscellaneous**:
- Performs other related tasks as may be assigned
**QUALIFICATIONS**:
**Education**
Diploma of college studies in an appropriate specialty or a diploma or an attestation of studies which is recognized as equivalent by the competent authority

**Specific Requirements**:
- Excellent communication skills in English and French (oral and written)
- Above average knowledge of MS Office Suite, especially Word and Excel.
- Ability to adapt easily to new software programs an asset
- Ability to deal pleasantly and effectively with people
- Ability to produce work under pressure
- Excellent interpersonal skills and initiative
- Knowledge of Clara Purchasing is an asset
- Knowledge of purchasing is an asset
